Ancient World Secrets of the Great Pyramid of Khufu

This new documentary looks at the room near the top of the Great Pyramid is known as the Kings Chamber. Near the top of the Grand Gallery, three pink granite monoliths (which are still in place) form the door to the Kings Chamber. The modern entrance is located at the upper end of the south wall of the Grand Gallery. In this documentary Chris Everard will be revealing more secrets of the ancient world.

It is assumed by Egyptologists that the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in the reign of the pharaoh Khufu (known as Cheops to the Greeks), in the fourth Egyptian dynasty around 2600 BC. This date has recently been questioned based on studies of water erosion of the sphinx. It may be that the Great Pyramid of Giza also is much older than previously thought.
