Steam-driven blast at Hawaii volcano could shower island with huge rocks

These is a risk of powerful explosions at Kilauea volcano, that may shower the area with giant boulders, toxic fumes and ash, the USGS warned. The ongoing eruption has already forced hundreds of residents out of their homes.
With lava continuing to pour from the Kilauea crater, there is a growing chance that its level will go below that of groundwater, which in turn, will trigger a chain of steam-driven explosions when the two substances mix, the US Geological Survey warned. The explosions could strike Hawaii's Big Island virtually any minute, as long as the Kilauea volcano, which has been erupting since last Thursday, is active, the geologists said.

           
           

Super Volcano on brink of eruption scientists warn

The active volcano is responsible for one of the deadliest eruptions in human history and experts believe history is about to repeat itself.

The deadly North Korean super volcano, Mount Paektu, is set to erupt and cause a global catastrophe, the likes of which would not have been seen for a thousand years.

The 9,000 feet giant volcano located on the border between North Korea and China is the highest peak of the Korean Peninsula. Mount Paektu is not far from a North Korean nuclear test facility where the government is conducting nuclear bomb test.

Now, new studies show that the eruption could eject far more sulphur into the atmosphere than previously thought, which could devastate life on Earth.

Mount Paektu once underwent one of the most devastating eruptions in history in 946AD when it erupted so powerfully that it formed a five kilometre caldera at its summit and produced enough ash that it even showered Japan - almost 1,100 km away.






            

Huge eruption at Calbuco volcano in Chile, UFOs caught going into plume

Volcano Calbuco in southern Chile has erupted for the first time in more than five decades on Wednesday, sending a thick plume of ash and smoke nearly 20 kilometres into the sky. Local reports say people are rushing to fill up gas tanks and buy food.
Calbuco is a stratovolcano in southern Chile, located southeast of Llanquihue Lake, in the Los Lagos Region. The volcano and the surrounding area are protected within Llanquihue National Reserve.
